Izlaganje u ovoj knjizi će moći da posluži da se sačuva pravi duhovni horizont alhemije od pogrešnih simplifikacija kakve neizbježno sa sobom nosi čisto istorijski pristup. Baš kao što i objekti u prostoru izgledaju manji što su dalji od nas, tako i sve što je daleko u vremenu izgleda nam redukovano i pojednostavljeno u formi - a što je veći i duhovni jaz između jedne epohe i druge, time je taj efekat jači. Izmađu našeg doba i doba kojem pripada alhemija jaz je skoro nemerljivo širok. Ova knjiga je mali ali svakako koristan doprinos da se taj jaz barem malo smanji.
