El diccionario croata-español de la casa editorial Dominović es el primer diccionario croata-español de tamaño considerable y el más completo en la lexicografía bilingüe croata-español publicado en Croacia. Contiene unas 65.000 entradas y 5.200 unidades fraseológicas (colocaciones, locuciones y refranes) y, además de léxico general, elabora terminología especí ca de ciencias humanas, sociales, naturales y técnicas (literatura, lingüística, música, economía, psicología, sociología, geografía, biología,medicina, matemáticas, física, arquitectura, construcción, náutica, etc.). La macroestructura del diccionario fue elaborada siguiendo el modelo de diccionarios croatas, monolingües y fraseológicos, mientras que las acepciones fueron verificadas en la herramienta Sketch Engine, así como en los corpus referentes de la lengua croata. Asimismo, incluye dialectalismos registrados en los diccionarios generales (excepto aquellos que, de la palabra estándar, difieren en el reflejo del jat, p. ej. lip – lijep ‘bonito, bello, hermoso, guapo, lindo’) y unexhaustivo repertorio de gentilicios. Destinado en primer lugar a los estudiantes de lengua y literatura española y traductores de croata a español, este diccionario puede servir a todos aquellos que quieran conocer la riqueza de uno de los idiomas más grandes del mundo. Por la elaboración específica de la lengua de partida, también lo pueden utilizar los hablantes nativos de español que quieren aprender croata.
