Bibič (1957), mednarodno uveljavljen harmonikar in skladatelj, ki temu inštrumentu izvirno sprevrača običajno narodnozabavno glasbeno uporabo, je po izobrazbi magister filozofije (do zdaj že tudi avtor monografij o glasbi, denimo Hrupa z Metelkove), kar se seveda dodobra odraža tudi v pričujoči monografiji. V njej se je po eni strani celovito, po drugi strani pa svojevrstno poigral s harmoniko. V Harmoniki za butalce tako (po uvodu, v katerem se temeljito razpiše, zakaj ravno tak naslov, ne pa, denimo, harmonika za telebane ali pa začetnike) izvirno preigra sociološki in kulturni kontekst tega inštrumenta v tujini in pri nas (vključno z povezavo med harmoniko in hrano, ki po njegovem »spada« zraven) od njegove iznajdbe ter prvotne uporabe naprej, ob tem pa bralca (predvsem tistega, ki ne pozna pobliže tudi glasbene skupine Begnagrad, pri kateri je predstavljal glavni ustvarjalni motor) seznanja tudi z lastnim ustvarjanjem, saj med besedilo spretno vplete umetniške projekte Begnagrada, ki jih kontekstualizira v splošnem glasbenem in tudi specifično harmonikarskem smislu. Esejistično glasbeno delo glasbenika, ki je soustvarjal sodobno zgodovino harmonike pri nas.
