Tako se nađe na trgu Dam u Amsterdamu, prepunom mladih ljudi koji meditiraju, sviraju, razgovaraju o osobnim slobodama i širenju svijesti. Ondje Paulo upoznaje Karlu koja čeka idealnog pratitelja za legendarni hipijevski put u Nepal. Na put kreću u Magičnom autobusu, koji za svega sedamdeset dolara vozi Europom i središnjom Azijom prema Katmanduu, u društvu nadasve zanimljivih suputnika. Svatko u autobusu ima svoju priču i na tom putu prolazi osobnu transformaciju. Dok putuju, Paulo i Karla istražuju i vlastiti odnos: njihova ljubavna priča budi ih na više razina i vodi do odluka koje će odrediti smjer njihovih života.
