U središtu pozornosti ove teoretske rasprave poetički je model romanesknog opusa Jeana Rouauda. Kao temelj poslužio je autorici roman Les Champs d'honneur: ponajprije je razmotrena njegova sintaktička, a zatim semantička te napokon funkcionalna razina. U svim se poetičkim kategorijama ovaj Rouaudov roman manifestira kao roman u trajnom gibanju i oscilaciji svojih protuslovlja, roman koji je nemoguće jednoznačno odrediti s obzirom na uvriježeno prihvaćene književne determinante. Promatrajući roman u kontekstu poetike postmodernizma postaje jasno da se u toj višeznačnosti i graničnosti očituje Rouaudovo slojevito problematiziranje interakcije zbilje i književne stvarnosti, odnosno ontološkog rascjepa koji je obilježen paradoksizmom. Gubitak metafizičkih odrednica u suvremeno doba koji se iskazuje u romanu autor će, međutim, nadomjestiti etičkim načelom, pridavši tako etičnosti obilježje novog smisla u problematičnom svijetu. Izvorni tekst rukopisa uspješno je obranjena magisterijska radnja uz mentoricu Ingrid Šafranek.
