U knjizi Hrvatski frazemi od glave do pete objedinjene su suvremene teorijske frazeološke postavke i njihova praktična primjena pri analizi jednoga zatvorenog frazeološkog fonda. Analiza se temelji na korpusu od 734 frazema hrvatskoga jezika koji sadržavaju barem jednu somatsku sastavnicu, tj. dio (ljudskoga) tijela. Uz promatranje strukturnih i sintaktičkih obilježja somatskih frazema te njihove paradigmatičnosti i varijantnosti donosi se i opsežna semantička analiza koja je ukazala na bitna svojstva somatskih frazema s obzirom na njihov stupanj desemantizacije, motivaciju i podrijetlo. Budući da svi somatski frazemi pripadaju užoj frazeologiji, kod svih je provedena djelomična ili potpuna desemantizacija, a pri oblikovanju frazemskoga značenja veliku je ulogu odigrala i tradicionalna simbolika pojedinih dijelova ljudskoga tijela. Osim simbolike, pri frazeologizaciji bila je važna i slika koju čovjek ima o pojedinim dijelovima tijela i njihovim funkcijama. Somatski su frazemi u ovoj knjizi razvrstani u 209 koncepata, a najbrojniju skupinu čine frazemi koji opisuju ljudske osobine te ljudsko ponašanje i međuljudske odnose. U analiziranome korpusu frazema pojavljuju se 72 somatizma, a najbrojniji su frazemi sa somatskim sastavnicama: glava, ruka, oko, srce i noga. Na kraju knjige donosi se rječnik hrvatskih somatskih frazema s pripadajućim oprimjerenim konceptima.
