Na obradi dokumenata i priređivanju Kataloga radila je prof. Azra Gadžo-Kasumović, dugogodišnja uposlenica Gazi Husrev-begove biblioteke i stučnjak za osmanski turski jezik i arhivistiku. Katalog osmanskih dokumenata (1) je prvi ove vrste koji je objavljen u Biblioteci, sadrži stručnu obradu 1.602 dokumenta od čega 767 pojedinačnih i 835 dokumenata iz sidžila (protokola Sarajevskog šerijatskog suda) koji se nalaze u Biblioteci. Katalog je izrađen uz izbor određenih vrsta dokumenata, među kojima su: fermani (glavni upravni, naredbodavni i savjetodavni dokumenti Osmanske države), berati (povelje i dekreti o dodjeljivanju funkcija i državnih službi Osmanske države), bujuruldije (pisma ili dokumenti kojima su se prenosile naredbe u skraćenom obliku, odnosno, dokument koji je najčešće izdavao valija i preko kojeg su koordinirani poslovi svih pokrajinskih službenika). Osim ovih, u Katalogu je obrađeno i dosta drugih dokumenata, kao što su: timarske tezkire, tahvil pisma, kadijske murasele, arzuhali, arzovi, ilami, kazaskerska pisma i drugi. Prilikom uređivanja Kataloga, njegov sadržaj je podjeljen u dva dijela: dio sa pojedinačnim dokumentima iz arhivske zbirke Gazi Husrev-begove biblioteke i dio sa dokumentima registriranim u vidu prepisa u sidžilima koji se čuvaju u ovoj arhivskoj zbirci. Katalog je štampan u A4 formatu, sa prilozima dokumenata u dva stupca u u boji. Knjiga ima 448 stranica i tvrdog je uveza.
