About the Book

Vučetić je gotovo potpuno, a nepravedno, zaboravljen predstavnik novijega splitskoga književnog kruga, osobito njezine lirske dionice. Ovaj izbor donosi kritički odabir njegovih stihova, putopisne proze i likovnih eseja te izbor iz korespondencije: autor predgovora Hrvoje Čulić i urednica knjige Biserka Goleš Glasnović čitatelju su ponudili najbolje dijelove Vučetićeve književne ostavštine. Budući da je Vučetićevo pismo uvijek prožeto sklonošću meditaciji, oduhovljenju svijeta i mističkom poimanju zbilje, naravno je da je njegov izraz uvijek liričan, samo što ta lirika biva uobličena stihom, pretopljena s putopisnom impresijom ili utkana u meditativno razmatranje tuđega umjetničkog (napose likovnog) djela. Kao tanani misaoni lirik i postromantični bjegunac od zbilje, Vučetić je na svojim najboljim stranicama ostvario fine evokacije egzistencijalnih tjeskoba i dojmljive iskaze unutarnjih lomova tankoćutna duha u sukobu sa strogom slikom svijeta. Stoga je objavljivanje ovog izbora značilo ne samo rehabilitaciju zaboravljenog opusa nego i prinos poznavanju hrvatske, a napose splitske, književne scene druge polovice 20. st.
