Za mene bi bilo mnogo bolje ne objašnjavati kakva je ovo knjiga. Ne bih htjela da pomislite kako ćete uz njenu pomoć naučiti kuhati puding od vanilije, pa kad shvatite da to nije to, krenuti natrag u knjižaru i tražiti povrat novca - Vedrana Rudan Iz predgovora autorice Vedrana Rudan već dvadeset godina u svojim knjigama nemilosrdno tranšira hrvatsku stvarnost. Nažalost, iako su prošle tolike godine, ta stvarnost nije ništa bolja - i danas smo mrzilačko, isključivo društvo u kojem i dalje vedre i oblače antijunaci dosadašnjih Vedraninih knjiga - korumpirani političari, licemjerni svećenici, zlostavljači, silovatelji, lopovi… A tu je i jedna sasvim nova katastrofa - život u vrijeme korone - kojom se autorica također detaljno pozabavila u ovom tekstu, koji, jasno vam je od prvog trenutka, nije kuharica. Dakle, ista meta, isto odstojanje, samo je Vedrana Rudan još ljuća i direktnija. Jer zemlja je devastirana, a šanse za oporavak minimalne ili nikakve, kako kaže u jednom tekstu. Odnosno, kako bi rekli oni s kojima redovito ratuje u knjizi, stavila je na ljutu ranu, ljutu travu.
