"Žlica puna ljubavi - moji omiljeni recepti" naziv je kuharice Vesne Nežić Ružić, popularne istarske glazbenice koja je ovih dana izašla iz tiska. Ova, 'još uvijek topla' knjiga recepata, napominje, nije kuharica koju je napisao profesionalni kuhar već netko tko voli hranu i koji godinama uživa kuhajući svojoj obitelji. Ovo su autorski recepti jedne obične žene, supruge, mame, none. To je ono što jedemo kod nas doma, što sam jela kod mojih koji su bili veliki gurmani, i nadam se nešto što će moja kćer Romina jednog dana iskoristiti kao nadopunu svoje kuhinje, veli nam Vesna u početku razgovora. Otkrivajući da je od mladosti voljela kuhati i isprobavati različite recepte, nešto joj je, veli, uspijevalo, a nešto nije. Budući da nekada nije bilo interneta i googlanja kao danas, dobre je recepte skupljala i zapisivala od prijatelja i rođaka te iz raznih časopisa i emisija. Tijekom godina, sa znanjem i iskustvom, kuhala je sve bolje pa je neke recepte modificirala, a neke i sama osmišljala. Sve ih 'pospremila' u bilježnice s tvrdim koricama.
