Antologija, s pomenljivim naslovom Brez milosti, je izšla z željo prikazati raznolikost, pestrost in trdoživost enega bolj protejskih in eksperimentalnih proznih izrazov slovenske književnosti. Vanjo so bile zato vključene tiste in tisti, ki še vedno pomembno sooblikujejo slovensko prozno pokrajino, čeprav se njihova ustvarjalnost ne omejuje (le) na kratko formo. Vključena so tudi besedila prvencev, predelane verzije že objavljenih zgodb in celo kakšen še neobjavljen tekst. Prispevek izbranih ustvarjalk in ustvarjalcev k sodobni slovenski (kratki) prozi je nespregledljiv, gotovo pa bo potreba po vključevanju novih imen sčasoma le še naraščala – kakor je tudi prav. Pričujoča knjiga tako predstavlja vmesni člen v verigi, ki bo, tako je upati, še dolgo nadaljevala z zbiranjem dobrih zgodb. Zaloga je neizčrpna.
