U Arheološkom muzeju Istre čuva se već dugo ulomak mramornog reljefa povorke. Prije dvadeset godina u Nikopolisu u Grčkoj, u monumentalnom Augustovom spomeniku pobjedi kod Akcija nad Markom Antonijem, pronađen je mramorni žrtvenik s reljefom kojemu potpuno odgovara nacrt pulskog reljefa. Zahvaljujući tome nalazu, moguće je rekonstruirati cjeloviti izgled pulskog reljefa i shvatiti njegovo značenje. Reljef predstavlja ulomak povorke bogova i oponaša drevni arhaički stil grčke umjetnosti. Prikazuje noge Artemide koja vuče jelena, iza Artemide korača njena majka Leta, a s desne strane povorku je predvodio Artemidin brat blizanac Apolon. Povorka drevnih bogova u arhaiziranom stilu na žrveniku iz Nikopolisa, kao i na pulskom ulomku, imala je ulogu božanske potvrde zakonitosti Augustove vlasti. Inspiracija za prikaz bogova koji podržavaju autoritet vladara potječe iz helenističke Aleksandrije, iz kulta heroja Aleksandra Makedonskog, omiljenog Augustovog uzora. Poruka reljefa uklapa se u obnovljeni kasnoaugustovski forum kolonije Pole s dva nova hrama, od kojih je zapadni bio posvećen Romi i Augustu a istočni se tradicionalno pripisivao Dijani (Artemidi), možda upravo zbog nalaza reljefa s Artemidom prepoznatljivom po jelenu.
