Prepustiti se čitanju ne znači uploviti u superiornost, niti nam čitanje kao psihološki proces otkriva književni ideal prošlog ili našeg vremena. Čitanje je osamljenički trzaj duše u koju navire senzibilitet novog bića koji se ostvaruje fenomenom jezika. A onda je to kretanje jezika usredsređeno u maštovitim slikama, u kreativnom mlazu osebujnog izvorišta u kojem se poezija oslobađa u tjeskobi, u ushitu. Jer pjesnik je onaj koji kontemplacijom imenuje čaroliju žudnje i svjetlosti, to nedefinirano mnoštvo osobnih svjetova: (…) „Pustila sam da me nose riječne struje,/ da me kiše uzmu maglama iznad vodâ/ i ponovo izliju u mora.“ (Nekoć bijah more) Poezija dopušta srh različitih sloboda i oživljava svoj stvaralački dinamizam; blagodat stvarnog i nestvarnog, kad nestvarno postaje čarolijom žudnje i svjetlosti. A upravo to nam donosi osebujnu liriku pjesnikinje Meri Grubić: (…) „tvojim sam očima gledala/ kako na te vreba svjetlost dana,/ i skoro sam umrla od žudnje/ gledajući kako suncu nudiš/ svoju golu put.“ (Alea iacta est)
