Deset dana u Parizu više je intelektualno-emotivna introspekcija nego faktografsko-hronološki prikaz njegova života. Iako se spominju velika imena naše historije, on u korist refleksija o umjetnosti izostavlja predratne i ratne susrete s velikanima naših prostora - Titom, Kočom Popovićem, Avdom Humom... Prijatelja, nobelovca Andrića samo citira. Pavle Savić, nominirani fizičar za Nobelovu nagradu 1937. godine, spominje se samo u legendi zajedničke fotografije. To je više stvar Vojine skromnosti i introvertiranosti nego hotimičnog izostavljanja. Još kao dijete, u jednom almanahu izdanom petnaestak godina nakon Drugog svjetskog rata, našao sam podatak da su od nekoliko hiljada prvoboraca samo Vojo i dva zemljoradnika zadržali svoju profesiju nakon oslobođenja 1945. godine. Drugi su postali predsjednici republika, ministri, direktori..., Vojo je bio jedini umjetnik Jugoslavije koji je prošao epske bitke i ofanzive: Igmanski marš, Bitku na Neretvi, Bitku na Sutjesci... On sam to je rijetko spominjao, ali su o tome pisali drugi. U ovoj će se knjizi o tome malo naći, ali se može naslutiti dubina jedne intimne ljudske drame, tragika stvaralačke egzistencije. On nacifašizam poima kao veliko zlo, neman protiv koje se nadljudski bori i samo na nekoliko mjesta precizno spominje koji su to neprijatelji.
