Dana 7. travnja 1941. čakovečki ljekarnik Teodor Košak proglasio je u Čakovcu Državu Hrvatsku. Bilo je to dan nakon što je Njemačka 6. travnja 1941. okupirala Međimurje, a tri dana prije nego što je u Zagrebu proglašena Nezavisna Država Hrvatska, čija je vlast u Međimurju trajala do 16. travnja 1941. kada je Međimurje okupirala Mađarska. Ljekarnik Košak nije dakle proglasio nikakvu "Nezavisnu Državu Hrvatsku", kako lažno tvrde neki povjesničari i političari, nego je proglasio Državu Hrvatsku u Međimurju, i to tri dana prije nego što je Slavko Kvaternik u Zagrebu proglasio Nezavisnu Državu Hrvatsku. Osim toga Teodor Košak nije proglasio nikakvu "ustašku državu", jer ustaša u Međimurju nije bilo ni prije njemačke okupacije Međimurja, kao ni nakon mađarske okupacije najsjevernije hrvatske pokrajine. Ova knjiga mons. Jurja Kolarića stoga je dragocjen prinos obogaćivanju hrvatske povijesti, a istodobno njome se ispravljaju razne povijesne, ideološke i političke smicalice i nejasnoće.
