Ova je knjiga namijenjena svima koji gaje interes za područje dizajna, s naglaskom na dizajn vizualnih komunikacija, a prije svega pomoći će studentima upoznati povijesne, ali i suvremene tehnologije i prakse. Knjiga predstavlja temeljit pregled elemenata grafičkog dizajna, procesa vrednovanja djela dizajna te ističe osobitosti dizajna vizualnih komunikacija u različitim njegovim aspektima: od knjige i plakata do web-dizajna, dizajna ambalaže, dizajna interakcija, videoigara, aplikacija i ikona. Knjiga sadržava recentne primjere dizajna renomiranih hrvatskih dizajnera te primjere studentskih radova i završnih radova na studiju na temelju kojih se razlažu ključne svakoga od navedenih aspekata.
