Ljeto 1990. godine bilo je drugačije od svih ljeta u proteklih pedeset godina trajanja Titove Jugoslavije. Užarena masa ljudskih glava ispunila je ulice srpskih gradova nacionalističkom poplavom. Redaju se miting za mitingom. Miješaju se politički simboli prošlosti i sadašnjosti. Slike svetog Save i srpskog despota Karađorđevića nasuprot slikama Josipa Broza Tita. Uništavaju se natpisi ulica s njegovim imenom, traži se protjerivanje njegovih kostiju iz glavnog grada - Beograda. "Tko to kaže, tko to laže..." čuje se glasno do jučer zabranjivana profašistička četnička pjesma iz desetaka tisuća grla. Transparenti, zastave i trube prekrivaju ulice srpskih gradova umjesto automobila. Pred njima uvijek stoji njihov idejni lučonoša Slobodan Milošević. I premda je fizički nemoguće biti na dva mjesta u isto vrijeme, avioni i helikopteri Jugoslavenske narodne armije prevoze ga poput taksi službe od mjesta do mjesta mitinga kao vožda koji donosi ostvarenja stoljetnog sna o Velikoj Srbiji...
