Po svoje še kako pogrešam stare dobre klasike, se mi je zadnjič potožil prijatelj, pri njih si ponavadi že kar po naslovu vedel, kam pes taco moli. Recimo Zločin in kazen, pa Vojna in mir … Da ne govorimo o Kugi! Zdaj je vse drugače, človek ima občutek, da gredo sodobni avtorji namerno ravno v drugo skrajnost: ko prebereš naslov, niti najmanj ne veš, pri čem si. Ampak to je že čisto druga zgodba. Misliš dolga zgodba, sem k temu razumevajoče dodal, tudi to bi lahko bil skrajno zavajajoč naslov, recimo kar po najkrajši zgodbi v knjigi. Saj veš, vse bistveno je bilo že povedano, tako da lahko samo še nemočno zavzdihnemo in, najbrž bolj sebi kot drugim, rečemo: »Dolga zgodba.« Morda vse to pospremimo še z govorico rok, nakažemo nekaj v stilu tropičja, da bi ja vse skupaj še za dodaten trenutek ali dva obviselo v zraku, in … Potem naj bi vsi vedeli, kaj s tem mislimo, iz katerega vodnjaka že videnega ali že vedenega smo tokrat zajeli.
