Blixa Bargeld, ikona njemačke avangardne glazbe, tijekom posljednje turneje grupe Einsturzende Neubauten na čijem je čelu već 30 godina - a koja je 15. travnja 2008. obuhvatila i Zagreb - ukoričio je niz atipičnih dnevničkih zapisa o putovanju Europom. U "Europi unakrsno", posve neuobičajenom putničkom dnevniku, iskusni globetrotter , avangardni umjetnik i dugogodišnji gitarist The Bad Seedsa, pratećeg sastava Nicka Cavea, prikazuje često zamoran život glazbenika na turneji s katkad prisilnim, a katkad dobrovoljnim obitavanjem po barovima, restoranima i hotelima čiju gastro-enološku ponudu kritizira žarom gastronomada i marom food-critica (uključivši i zagrebački The Regent Esplanade). Blixa piše i o obilaženju muzeja, galerija, klubova, kolodvora i aerodroma po čijim zakucima pronalazi detalje kakvi nam najčešće promiču, iznoseći intrigantna zapažanja i promišljanja o različitosti europske kulture na potezu od Lisabona do Moskve, od Osla do Napulja, ali i o vlastitim bolestima, sumnjama, strahovima i nadama.
