Poglavlja koja se bave prikazom bolesti odnosno patoloških stanja slično su napisana te se svakim poglavljem opisuje pristup u dijagnostici, liječenju i praćenju pacijentica. Svakim se poglavljem iznose činjenice poput definicije bolesti, njezin epidemiološki opis i značenje, daje se jasan uviđaj u etiopatogenezu bolesti, mehanizme kojim se bolest komplicira. Također, za svaku je bolest opisan način na koji se predstavlja simptomima i kliničkim znakovima. Uz opise dijagnostičkih testova opisana su ili makar nabrojena ona stanja koja bi se svrstala pod diferencijalnu dijagnozu. Za sva stanja navedeni su terapijski postupci, a za bolesti koje su to dopuštale napisane su i mjere za prevenciju odnosno sprječavanje nastanka bolesti kao i njezinih komplikacija. Za neke bolesti napisana je i očekivana prognoza s obzirom na moguće terapijske postupke. Svi slikovni i tablični prikazi pomažu lakšem razumijevanju teksta te su opravdani. Mjerne jedinice i vrijednosti laboratorijskih nalaza u skladu su s kliničkom praksom. Knjiga je namijenjena prvenstveno studentima stomatologije na dodiplomskoj nastavi, ali može poslužiti i kao podsjetnik studentima u poslijediplomskoj nastavi dodirnih područja. Ovo djelo predstavlja vrijedan tekst s obzirom na to da na uopćen, ali ipak sveobuhvatan način nudi znanje iz ginekologije i opstetricije studentima drugih medicinskih disciplina poput stomatološke.
