About the Book

Gregor Pratneker (1973) se je s slikarstvom začel ukvarjati v devetdesetih letih preteklega stoletja. Živi in ustvarja v Mariboru. Leta 2006 je diplomiral na Oddelku za likovno umetnost na Pedagoški fakulteti v Mariboru, leta 2012 pa je na Akademiji za likovno umetnost v Ljubljani pridobil naslov magister likovne umetnosti. V zadnjem ustvarjalnem obdobju se posveča predvsem krajinam - gozdovom. Prejel je več nagrad, med katerimi so tudi najuglednejše iz mednarodnega prostora. Razstavlja tako v Sloveniji kot v tujini, predvsem v Franciji. Monografija je nastala po več kot dvajsetih letih predanega slikarskega dela, raziskovanja, študijskega poglabljanja in tudi nabiranja izkušenj v tujini, prinaša pa 73 barvnih reprodukcij, kratek pregled umetnikovega življenja, ki ga je napisal sam, in spremna besedila, v katerih je njegovo delo strokovno ovrednoteno.
