About the Book

Djelovanje Komunističke partije Hrvatske (KPH) važan je i nezaobilazan aspekt nedavne prošlosti hrvatskog naroda. Činjenica da je KPH nastala u sklopu, odnosno u krilu Komunističke partije Jugoslavije (KPJ), koja je bila njen osnivač, bitno su odredili opseg i metodu njenog djelovanja, Naime, KPJ je bitno određivala i obilježavala, po hijerarhijskom principu, njenu razvojnu liniju, a povijesna zbilja pridonijela je njenoj složenosti i značenju. Posebnost njena djelovanja i uloge nakon 1945., kao i posljedice koje su iz toga nastale, nametnule su potrebu da se na znanstveno utemeljen način utvrdi njen udio i mjesto na tadašnjoj političkoj pozornici. Ovaj rad rezultat je višegodišnjeg istraživanja KPH, njene organizacije, uloge, djelovanja u razdoblju od 1945. do 1952. godine. Težnja je bila da se prezentira što cjelovitiji sadržaj o navedenoj problematici, odnosno da se po prvi put u hrvatskoj historiografiji monografski obradi jedno složeno istraživačko područje. Istraživanje KPH podrazumijeva da se, zbog dominacije njene uloge u poratnom političkom i, uopće, društvenom životu Hrvatske, obrati pažnja na sve segmente političkog, gospodarskog, kulturnog i javnog života u razdoblju 1945-1952.
