Nakon desetak knjiga različitih žanrova i rodova Denis Penčičje napisao i svoj prozni prvijenac Hrvatski psycho. Hrvatski psycho je knjiga napisana ritmom koji vam neće dopustili predahnuti dok je ne progutate. Napeta priča sastoji se od dva dijela između kojih se uglavio neispisani demon cijele knjige - rat. A rat je demon koji iz ljudi izvlači najgore. U svom pripovijedanju Peričić miješa "objektivne" i "subjektivne" iskaze i iako istodobno portretira i autoportretira svog junaka, premda ne treba odbaciti ni mogućnost da hrvatski psycho samog sebe doživljava otuđeno, u trećem licu, štoje čest slučaj kod naših političara. Bilo kako bilo, radi se o knjizi koja zbog visokog stupnja svoje provokativnosti pri tematiziranju seksualnosti, nasilja i patologije nikoga neće ostaviti ravnodušnim. Zato jer je u mnogočemu istinita i zato što je hrvatski psycho čovjek kojega ste već sreli, a možda i voljeli.
