Knjiga obrađuje deset vrsta divljači koje obitavaju u ovom dijelu Europe. Namijenjena je kako mladim i manje iskusnim lovcima ili tek početnicima, tako i iskusnim, prekaljenim lovcima koji si žele potvrditi svoja znanja i iskustvo. Na žalost situacije u lovu u prirodnim uvjetima uz brojne čimbenike na koje ne možemo utjecati značajno smanjuju mogućnost idealnog pogotka. Napisana materija je neka vrsta kompilacije vrlo brojne svjetske literature, tako da na jednom mjestu lovac može dobiti željene odgovore bez velikog traganja po „šumi elektronski dostupnih znanstvenih, stručnih ili iskustvenih izvora“ većim dijelom engleskog ili njemačkog govornog područja.
