Ovo je prva knjiga u Hrvatskoj koja bez kompleksa razotkriva mit o Ivi Andriću budući da dosad nijedan hrvatski autor na ovakav način nije objavio kritički pristup Andrićevom diplomatskom i političkom angažmanu. Činjenice o Andriću koje su bile skrivane od šire javnosti uključuju njegove programe etničkog čišćenja Albanaca muslimana i Turaka u Kraljevini Jugoslaviji, Andrićevo poticanje na ubijanje pristaša republikanizma u Zagrebu 1918., njegov zaziv atentata na Stjepana Radića, Andrićevu pohvalu Hitleru koji „s toliko uspjeha i dostojanstva stoji na čelu Velikog njemačkog Reicha“, Andrićevu potporu četničkom vođi Draži Mihailoviću, njegovu osudu Savke, Tripala i Stepinca, traženja od Krleže da u enciklopediji izostavi da je hrvatskog podrijetla, uz Andrićevo veličanje Staljina i Tita. Knjiga predstavlja dosad u Hrvatskoj nezabilježen pristup Andrićevom diplomatskom i političkom djelovanju, potkrijepljena izvorima iz književne građe i arhivskih materijala. Ova je knjiga dala glas onima koji su znali tko je doista Ivo Andrić.
