Pomirena sa sudbinom, odlazi u gradić okružen planinama spremna na najdosadniju godinu u životu. Međutim, ondje upoznaje skupinu prelijepih, no problematičnih mladića koje sve krase iste tetovaže gavrana… Jedina zanimacija su im bilijar i neki tajanstveni poslići za koje Cecelia sluti da su nezakoniti. Ne može odoljeti privlačnosti prema Seanu, tvorničkom nadzorniku, koji je kao zraka sunca u njezinoj tmurnoj svakodnevici. Privlači je i Dominic, crni oblak koji ju prezire jer misli da je razmažena bogatašica. Dok pokušava izabrati jednog (i pita se mora li se uopće odlučiti samo za jednog…), Cecelia doznaje sve više njihovih tajni, od kojih su neke prilično opasne. Svjesna je da tone sve dublje, ali nije sigurna može li se izvući na površinu. Niti želi li to uopće.
