Nakladni zavod Globus predstavlja četiri knjige sabranih djela Jure Kaštelana koje zaokružuju rad i djelo jednog od najistaknutijih hrvatskih pjesnika, prozaika, dramatičara, književnog znanstvenika, sveučilišnog profesora, kritičara i prevoditelja. Kaštelan se rodio 18. prosinca 1919. godine u Zakučcu kraj Omiša, na rijeci Cetini, u slavnoj starohrvatskoj Poljičkoj Kneževini, u vremenu kada su u književnosti, osobito u pjesništvu, vijali vjetrovi moderniteta. Tradicija "rasadišta pismenosti i narodnoga duha", autentičnost i spontanost narodne lirske pjesme i epski objektivizam npr. Kačićeve pučke pjesmarice, naći će svoje mjesto u modernoj i suvremenoj poeziji 20. st. kojoj je Jure Kaštelan autentični predstavnik. Stvarnost koja postaje jezik, i jezik koji postaje stvarnost (činjenica i istina), očaravaju Kaštelana i on se upušta u pustolovinu pisanja stihova koja mu postaje nužnost, kao disanje i kucanje srca. Prva knjiga donosi cjelokupno Kaštelanovo pjesništvo, druga svu prozu i drame, dok je u trećoj Ante Stamać povezao dvije autorove cjelovite knjige (o Matošu i A. B. Šimiću) i još desetak opsežnijih radova, a četvrta knjiga donosi eseje, feljtone, članke i bilješke.
