Kako je prostor postao mjesto. Eseji iz devetnaestostoljetne australske književnosti Tihane Klepač oslanja se na uvide obrata ka prostoru te mogućnosti koje unutar znanosti o književnosti nude postulati humane geografije, a koji se odnose na interakciju i međusobnu povezanost ljudskoga i prostornoga. U mjeri u kojoj će ovo djelo biti zanimljivo anglističkoj publici ono će svakako privući pozornost i šireg čitateljstva, napose u smislu uspostave nacionalnog identiteta konceptualiziranog kroz dinamiku prostora. (LJUBICA MATEK) Klepač naglašava činjenicu da je transformacija prostora u mjesto tekstualno uprizorena putem opisa osjećaja mjesta, putem imenovanja i putem izdvajanja šikare kao distinktivno australskog krajolika. U knjizi su opisane tekstualne strategije koje, opisujući način na koji se ljudi nose s prostorom, predstavljaju način na koji se kreira specifični identitet. Stoga će ova rasprava o doprinosu prostora u uspostavljanju nacionalnog identiteta te razotkrivanje tvorbenih procesa i ideologija koji se skrivaju iza tog procesa privući pozornost i onih koji se bave drugim domenama ljudske zbilje i kulture. (VANJA POLIĆ) Tihana Klepač je izvanredna profesorica na Odsjeku za engleski jezik i književnost Filozofskog fakulteta Sveučilišta u Zagrebu gdje predaje devetnaestostoljetnu australsku književnost, irsku književnost i žensko pismo. Surađuje s časopisima Studia Romanica et Anglica Zagrabiensia, Umjetnost riječi, Književna smotra, Brno Studies in English, Central European Journal of Canadian Studies i Journal of the European Association for Studies of Australia kao pisac članaka i kritičkih komentara te kao recenzent. Autorica je knjige Dancing in Red Shoes: Barbara Baynton and the Australian Myth (FFPress 2020), niza znanstvenih radova i su-urednica dva zbornika (Irsko ogledalo za hrvatsku književnost, FFPRess 2007; English Studies from Archives to Prospects, Volume I – Literature and Cultural Studies, Cambridge Scholars Publishing 2016).
