Rukopis daje cjelovit pregled teorije, a u svom drugom dijelu pregled empirije s posljednjim podatcima, što sam rukopis čini izvornim, aktualnim i nadasve korisnim kako studentima, tako i osobama koje se bave konkurentnošću i klasterima. Pojam konkurentnosti zaokupljao je pozornost mnogobrojnih autora, ali kako se ovome problemu može pristupiti s nekoliko razina, ovaj je rukopis novina u pristupu i ne može se usporediti s drugim djelima. Prof. dr. sc. Lorena Škuflić Nalazi analize jesu osnova osmišljavanja projekta koji bi Hrvatska s obzirom na znatno zaostajanje konkurentnosti na svim razinama u odnosu prema drugim zemljama trebala slijediti radi koncipiranja osnovnih elemenata projekta za rast i razvoj konkurentnosti u Hrvatskoj. Prof. dr. sc. Dragomir Sundać Opsežne reference nisu navele autoricu na vrjednovanje konkurentnosti hrvatskoga gospodarstva samo prema općem obrascu komparacije s razvijenim gospodarstvima. Uspoređujući hrvatsko gospodarstvo s gospodarstvima Slovenije, Estonije i Litve, dakle s Hrvatskoj sličnim tranzicijskim zemljama, autorica je u cijelosti uspjela razotkriti i protumačiti loše performanse hrvatskoga gospodarstva posljednjih godina.
