„Kako se zoveš?“, to me često pitaju. Ne razumijem ih, ali znam da me teta Maja naučila da kažem: „TIN.“ Teta Maja me naučila reći „TIN“, „11 godina“, „mama Mia“, „tata Filip“, „braco Vili“ i „seka Tia“. Ja imam autizam. Tako svoju priču započinje dječak Tin koji je dijete s autizmom. Tin će nam u priči „Ljepota razlika“ pokušati objasniti kako okolina, ljudi i život izgledaju iz njegove perspektive. Tin jako dobro razumije da je po mnogo čemu različit, da se on drugačije igra, uči, govori, ponaša i kreće te da mu nedostaju mnoge vještine. No, istovremeno će nam pokazati da on baš kao i svako drugo dijete puno osjeća, sve vidi i razumije te želi biti prihvaćen, voljen i vrijedan našeg poštovanja. Cilj ove slikovnice je da kod malenih i velikih razvija razumijevanje prema autizmu, suosjećanje prema djeci i roditeljima koji žive s izazovima koje donosi autizam i prihvaćanje različitosti kao bogatstva života u svim njegovim izričajima.
