Potraga za istinom je poput bačenog koplja Jedna sličnost među gradovima i romanima sasvim je slučajna: dok se približavaš nekom gradu, povećava se broj grobova i grobalja… tako je, obično, i sa romanima - dok ploviš niz tok fabule, desi se neki smrtan slučaj, i kako se roman bliži kraju, sve više glava pada u grobove. Sa ovim romanom nije taj slučaj… Sve počinje od ljubavi: mladić je zavoleo devojku, ali prosci su već došli kod njenog oca. Devojka nije mogla da pogazi očevu reč, a zaljubljeni mladić nije podneo gubitak. Zaljubljen i povređen, puškom je delio pravdu-nepravdu. Odmetnuo se i potera za njim trajala je 47 dana. Pripovedač ove knjige je sin poznatog odmetnika koji istražuje poteru za ocem, a sve što će naći vodi ga prema literaturi i brojnim pitanjima: Šta je otac? Šta je mitski otac? Šta su žrtve? Ko su umetnici? U kakvom su odnosu sudbina i izvanredna književnost? Vrhunski romani donose jezu, pomeraju granice pripovedanja, poniru u vrelo našeg bića, izranjaju iz podsvesti kao lampe sa svetlošću kakvu još nismo videli. Ljudi bez grobova Enesa Halilovića nedvosmisleno su takav roman.
