Memoari Jelice Belović Bernadzikowski predstavlja tekst rukopisa koji se već godinama čuva u Historijskom arhivu u Sarajevu, u okviru fonda Belović-Bernadzikowski Jelica, vremenskog raspona 1893.-1909. godine. Građa u fondu predstavlja samo jedan fragment iz inače bogatog stvaralačkog opusa Jelice Belović, a o čemu svakako više saznajemo iščitavajući njene memoare. Urednici su napravili transkripciju teksta od četiri stotine stranica, te cjelokupan tekst priredili za štampu. Knjiga je dodatno obogaćena nizom stručnih napomena koje su priložene na kraju teksta a u kojima su opisane manje poznate riječi, ličnosti ali i donijeti prevodi dijelova rukopisa koji su napisani na njemačkom, poljskom, mađarskom, engleskom, talijanskom, francuskom i latinskom jeziku.
