About the Book

Ante Rendić-Miočević je od kraja 1973. god. bio zaposlen kao kustos u Arheološkom muzeju u Zagrebu, a od svibnja 1984. god. ravnatelj je te institucije. Dužnost ravnatelja Muzeja obnašao je sve do odlaska u mirovinu 1. siječnja 2012. god. Arheološki muzej u Zagrebu odlučio mu je zbog njegovih nemalih zasluga posvetiti zbornik radova te se na taj način djelomično odužiti za sve što je učinio za ovu instituciju. U zborniku, kojeg su uredili Ivan Radman-Livaja i Tomislav Bilić, osim životopisa i bibliografije Ante Rendića-Miočevića, otisnuto je ukupno 40 radova, bogato opremljenih kartama i ilustracijama, bilješkama i bibliografijom. Radovi su objavljeni na hrvatskom, engleskom, talijanskom, francuskom, slovenskom i njemačkom jeziku, a ukupno je sudjelovalo četrdeset i četvoro hrvatskih i inozemnih autora s raznorodnih hrvatskih i inozemnih institucija. Tisak publikacije financijski je poduprlo Ministarstvo znanosti i obrazovanja Republike Hrvatske.
