22 kratke priče za dugo guštanje sačinjavaju zbirku Nasmijati psa, prozni prvijenac Olje Savičević Ivančević. Brzopotezno: više se ove priče bave stareži i mladeži, a bogami i klateži, više marginom, nego uspjehom i sredinom. Njihovi akteri su najčešće zanesenjaci, s pomalo ironičnim i ležernim odnosom spram života. Dobri pripovjedački duh Olje Savičević Ivančević kao da je iskočio iz (s)kuta svih onih Robija K. kojima je bila okružena, ali nije zastao u trećem a. Nađe se tako u ovim pričama raspoloženja splitskog festivala, zasijaju posteri pop zvijezda, pa uleti Caveov motiv, ambijentaliziranje nas podsjeća na Flanery O'Connor, a ispod teksta se nazire Dorin dnevnik, strip-junakinje uvedu pravdu, putuje se filmovima ceste, u avanture, vješto pripovijeda, dok nam filigranski stil sve vrijeme pokazuje da autorica nije slučajno objavila tri zbirke poezije. Olja Savičević Ivančević rođena je 16. rujna 1974. u Splitu. Profesorica je hrvatksog jezika i književnosti, apsolventica na Poslijediplomskom studiju iz književnosti u Zadru. Pisala je književnu i kazališnu kritiku, eseje, novinske članke i kolumne, pa i tekstove za glazbu; uređivala studentske časopise i zbornike. Ovu je knjigu zaslužila pobjedom na natječaju novina za kulturu MH Vijenac i nakladničke kuće AGM kao najbolji mladi prozni autor. Ilustracija na naslovnoj stranici i ikone Dunja Janković.
