U pokušaju svladavanja subjektivne stvarnosti, u nepostojanju samo jedne jedine istine, ove priče žele učiniti odmak od svijeta opsjednutog materijalnim i biti kritika društva koje je kao glavnu vrijednost odabralo profit, ne primjećujući ili samo skrivajući licemjerje i zlo svijeta obrnutih vrijednosti. Namjera autorice je ukazati na probleme, osobito žena (jer zlostavljanje žena, djece i životinja nije stereotip nego stvarnost), svih odbačenih, potlačenih i izgubljenih, onih „od kojih se okreće glava“. Pokušaj razotkrivanja bar jednog dijela licemjerja, literarno zaobilaženje misli na hranu i nezaposlenost, pa čak i vraćanja djetinje mašte, pronalaženja dobra u zlu kroz smijeh, borba protiv pesimizma i samouništenja optimizmom i nadom, najvažnije su coordinate ove knjige, koja nastoji ponuditi neko drugo viđenje svijeta od onog koje pretežno nude mediji i predatorski totalitet potrošačkog društva.
