About the Book

Pučki pjesnik Ilija Kutlešić Bijader (Jabuka, 1840. -1929.) u cijelosti je usvojio književni postupak primjeren pučkome književnome fenomenu. Svoju je književnu slavu stekao trima poemama koje je otisnuo u rasponu od desetak godina. U svim trima je istakao da je to uradak "samouka seljaka" koji potječe iz "sinjsko-cetinske krajine". Za teme bira zanimljive zgode iz svoga zavičaja: u prvoj najranijoj (iz 1891.) dvije teme: običaj umaknuća i tragičnu ljubavnu zgodu, a u drugim otisnutim pjesmama važne mjesne zgode, i to sinjsko-cetinski potres, odnosno gradnju brane radi obrane od poplava potoka u selu Jabuka. U svim svojim pjesmama poslužio se dobro prokušanom metodom pučkoga stihotvorstva: opjevati odabranu temu što preciznije i slikovitije, donijeti plastično sve popratne detalje, stalno komunicirati sa svojim recipijentima (čitateljima i slušateljima), učiniti da se preko pjesme tema zapamti i prenese u tradiciju. To je sve postigao u svim trima knjigama jer je izabrao "prave teme", jer je odnjegovan u zavičajnoj duhovnosti u kojoj je živ i Kačić i deseteračka intonacija. Da su pjesme čitljive i glatke, potpomogle su brojne stalne formule (stilizacije) i iznimno figurativan govor.
