Zbornik pričevanj ob 80-letnici Milana Kučana. Omizje prijateljev se je konec septembra 2020 med razmišljanjem o različnih slavjih in praznikih našlo ob skupnem preblisku, da bo januarja 2021 Milan Kučan dosegel visok jubilej, 80 let. Beseda je dala besedo in rodila se je zamisel, da bi se mu poklonili z zbornikom pričevanj njegovih prijateljev, sodelavcev in nekaterih sopotnikov. Nismo gradili političnega projekta, ki bi komurkoli želel parati živce ali zalivati pridušene nasmehe. Vsebino in obliko smo v celoti prepustili povabljenim ustvarjalkam in ustvarjalcem zapisov. Spomine smo želeli podkrepiti in olepšati z ustreznimi fotografijami. Kar smo prejeli, ni bilo vedno delo izkušenega fotografskega očesa. Prav vsak posnetek pa ima svojo dokumentarno vrednost; in za to nam je šlo. Kučan je za mnoge prijatelj, za številne državnik in za prav vse človek. Tako smo za ta zbornik zlahka napisali naslov PRIJATELJ, DRŽAVNIK, ČLOVEK - pričevanja o Milanu Kučanu.
