Samantha Futerman, 25-godišnja američka glumica, spremala se za filmsku premijeru svojeg novog filma kad je ugledala poruku svoje vršnjakinje Anaïs Bordier, francuske studentice dizajna. Anaïs je poruku poslala nakon što je na YouTubeu pogledala Samanthin video i shvatila da izgledaju identično.Nije se radilo samo o izgledu, saznala je da djevojka na snimci ne samo da izgleda isto kao ona već s njom dijeli i isti datum i mjesto rođenja, grad u Južnoj Koreji. Samantha je prihvatila poziv i započela komunikaciju s njom preko društvenih mreža. Dvije djevojke, odgojene u različitim sredinama - jedna kao jedinica, a druga kao najmlađe od troje djece - uskoro doznaju da dijele puno više od izgleda. U potrazi za odgovorima, nakon što je i znanstveno dokazano da su sestre, djevojke dolaze u Koreju kako bi saznale nešto više o svojem podrijetlu, ali i o zemlji u kojoj su razdvojene.
