About the Book

Autor je istražio i sustavno prikazao problematiku prodora, širenja i stvaranja institucionalnih okvira reformacije na prostoru hrvatskih zemalja. Polazeći od pretpostavke da su u kontekstu procesa širenja reformacije u Europi hrvatske zemlje bila rubna područja tog procesa, ispitao je modalitete prenošenja, modifikacije i primjene reformskih ideja u hrvatskim zemljama i među iseljenim hrvatskim stanovništvom. Pritom je posebnu pozornost posvetio recepciji reformskih ideja među intelektualnom i političkom elitom Hrvatsko-slavonskoga kraljevstva te modalitetima i medijima posredovanja reformacijskog učenja gradskim i seoskim slojevima. Nastojao je rekonstruirati dominantne teološko-dogmatske obrasce i socio-kulturne prakse koje karakteriziraju elitni i pučki protenstantizam.
