U vrlo popularnome romanu „Majušna žena“ Henisch je uveo lik pripovjedača imenom Paul Spielmann koji više nije Peter Henisch iz romana o ocu. On je neka vrsta fikcionalne tampon-zone između autorova „ja“ i priče u romanu, mistifikacija procesa pripovijedanja koja intrigira baš svakoga kritičkog prikazivača te knjige. Isti taj Paul Spielmann pojavljuje se kao pripovjedač i u novome Henischevu romanu Sedam i pol života, a u svojstvu neke vrste antagonista pridružuje mu se Max Stein, lik iz starijega romana naslovljena Steinova paranoja. To ukazuje na usložnjavanje Henischeva odnosa prema fikciji, što će nesumnjivo biti zanimljivo angažiranijim čitateljima. Svi ostali htjet će znati što je sljedeće doživio Paul Spielmann iz „Majušne žene“, jer ondje su im svi likovi prirasli srcu, čak i taj čudni Spielmann. Peter Henisch ima autentičnu književnu kvalitetu i kad god se ukaže prigoda za objavu neke njegove knjige, ne treba je propustiti. Čitateljstvo će biti zahvalno.
