Melankoličnu priču o odrastanju uz oca koji od frajera pritisnuta životom postaje – kako mu kopni volja uslijed razočaranja u svijet i vrlinu – tek sjena prijašnjeg bića. Priča je bajkovita i ponekad trpka, sjetna raspoloženja smjenjuju se s komičnim situacijama uz prodore naturalizma i simbolizma. Otac i kći uspostavljaju nježan i brižan odnos udaljujući se iz stana do tjeskobe nakrcanog uspomenama i predmetima – zato kći sanjareći gradi beskonačnu kuću u kući – od svojih trauma starih i novih, od grada i ljudi. Osamljuju se na brodici Kaljinki, okruženi morem, ribama i pticama, gdje je sve jasnije i čišće, pa i okrutnost. Ali otac počinje halucinirati, a ispod njegovog se vrata pomalja sazviježđe crvenih točkica. Morat će u bolnicu, stižu ga godine, došlo je vrijeme za promjene… Ovo je roman za meko rastajanje s ocem i otisnuće na pučinu života bez broda i ikoga svoga.
