Autor ovim studijama pokušava definirati vjeru i njezine posljedice kao moralnu poruku Novoga zavjeta te otvoriti hermeneutski luk kako bi mogao poslužiti i daljnjem teološkom radu, posebice onomu sustavnih teologa i moralista. Polazeći od poziva u Djelima apostolskim: „Obratite se i svatko od vas neka se krsti“ (Dj 2,38), što prepoznaje kao „ordo salutis - red spasenja“, pri čemu se spominje obraćenje, vjera, krštenje za oproštenje i dar Duha Svetoga, autor ističe da to podrazumijeva navještaj događaja Isusa Krista. Ta vjera traži nasljedovanje što pak znači hodati po Duhu, kako sugerira Poslanica Galaćanima (Gal 5,17). Upravo su takvi tekstovi o vjeri kao o nasljedovanju bitni za ovu raspravu. Ne samo da je moguće u narativnim tekstovima prepoznati paradigme biblijskih moralnih raspoloživosti, nego je to moguće i u molitvenim tekstovima jer je naše čitanje ili moljenje svetopisamskih tekstova učinkovito u oblikovanju kršćanske moralne raspoloživosti. Mario Cifrak je pročelnik Katedre Svetog pisma Novoga zavjeta na Katoličkome bogoslovnom fakultetu Sveučilišta u Zagrebu.
