Polazeći iz bogatog pastoralnog iskustva u pripremama i vjenčanjima mnogih mladenaca te od činjenica da je sakrament ženidbe objava Radosne vijesti o bračnoj ljubavi, a liturgijsko slavlje ženidbe crkvena i pastoralna služba, svećenik Ivan Ćubelić sabrao je i objavio svoje propovijedi prigodom vjenčanja. Kako sam autor u uvodu knjige navodi, »u ovom vremenu nerazumnog potkopavanja smisla i značaja ženidbe, ljepota svakoga obrednog slavlja treba pridonositi otkrivanju dostojanstva kršćanske ženidbe, braka i obitelji i to onako kako je to Stvoritelj od početka zamislio«. Stoga će zbirka 34 propovijedi ponajprije koristiti svećenicima u pripremi homilije za vjenčanje, ali na osobit način i zaručnicima, kao i bračnim parovima. Od velike pomoći bit će svima koji se bave pitanjima braka i obitelji: voditeljima zaručničkih tečajeva, bračnim terapeutima, svećenicima, katehetama, vjeroučiteljima i onima koji rade s obiteljima.
