Verbumprogram - termin s neobičnim prizvukom nekog (pseudo) znanstvenog pojma krije, zapravo, autorski umjetnički par Vladimir Mattioni (1943.) - Ratomir Kulić (1948.) - prvi arhitekt, drugi povjesničar umjetnosti po formaciji, oba s boravkom u Rumi - koji se aprila 1974. privučeni srodnim sklonostima udružuju s ciljem međusobne duhovne komunikacije, zajedničkog rada, planiranja i realizacije projekata, mogućnosti nastupa. Prvi javni nastup imaju u Galeriji Studentskog kulturnog centra u Beogradu u ožujku 1975. (Verbumprogram: Dokumenti 1-1). Do 1980. traju stalne i intenzivne razrade pitanja koja ih zaokupljaju (ciklusi Papir, YK.B., Slike: obrasci, Slike: negativi, Standardni formati: ploče. Veliki crteži), uz diskretno ali vrlo selektivno prisustvo na tadašnjoj (alternativnoj) jugoslavenskoj umjetničkoj sceni (Beograd. Ljubljana, Zagreb). Godine 1980. autori se odvajaju nastavljajući rad u vlastitim profesionalnim usmjerenjima. Do ponovnog okupljanja dolazi 1985. (na izložbi Idola Fori u Novom Sadu), slijede serija izložbi projekta Achromia (1986.-87.) i završna izložba Forma Occidit (Ruma 1990.). Razdvojeni mjestima boravka, posvećeni drugim preokupacijama, autori za sada, a možda i definitivno, u smislu javnog djelovanja zaključuju petnaestogodišnje postojanje i djelovanje Verbumprograma. J.
