Sa zadovoljstvom vam predstavljamo treću monografiju iz edicije poznatih hrvatskih vina - o žlahtini, vinu iz Vrbnika s otoka Krka koje se posljednjih nekoliko desetljeća nalazi na vinskim kartama svih prestižnih ugostiteljskih kuća i enoteka. Žlahtina se u rasponu od žute boje sa zelenkastim odsjajem preko slamnato-žute do zlatno-žute održala još samo u Vrbniku. Autori monografije su ugledni hrvatski znanstvenici i stručnjaci - Nikola Mirošević, Petar Strčić, Slavko Zahija, Vladimir Jelaska, Marinko Vladić, Mira Katunar, Božica Brkan i Jole Bolić. Preko zanimljivoga povijesnog pregleda razvoja društvenih odnosa u Vrbniku i utjecaja na vinogradarstvo i vinarstvo, do prikaza ekoloških uvjeta i njihove podobnosti za uzgoj vinove loze na Vrbničkom polju, kao i opisom tehnologije proizvodnje grožđa i vina te njegove prisutnosti u krčkoj gastronomiji, ispričana je priča još davno ispisana glagoljičkim rukopisom vrbničkih težaka. Izdanje je dvojezično, uz hrvatski se tekst usporedno daje i engleski prijevod, s obiljem vrhunskih fotografija autora Marija Hlače koje zorno dočaravaju mnoga duhovna, kulturna i materijalna nasljeđa Vrbnika i otoka Krka - dokaze čovjekova rada u dostojanstvu življenja na tim prostorima.
