Okupljaju se članovi najuže obitelji, s njima je i prijatelj, proslavljeni novinar Burak, dok se obiteljski sluga Sadik-usta brine da proslava prođe u najboljem redu. Klupko tajni vezanih za obiteljsku prošlost i članove kojih više nema muče Širinina unuka Fikreta, koji dan prije proslave misteriozno nestaje… Ispričan iz četiriju različitih perspektiva, ovaj nas višegeneracijski roman upoznaje s obiteljskim tajnama, ljubavima i traumama, kao i važnim povijesnim događajima.
