U svojoj knjizi autobiografskih zapisa hrvatski glumac Rade Šerbedžija govori o događajima i osobama koji su presudno utjecali na njegovu životnu sudbinu i umjetničku karijeru. Posebno su dramatične stranice o zbivanjima početkom devedesetih godina kad Šerbedžija ne pristaje ni uz jedan nacionalni kolektivitet i biva odbačen od svih. Knjiga je pisana strastveno, ali u njoj nema lažnog patosa i sentimentalnog kiča; ona je dramatična u svojoj iskrenoj emocionalnosti. U njoj nema ni osvetoljubivosti: iz današnje perspektive, nakon svega što je prošao, Šerbedžija unatoč nabujaloj osjećajnosti pokušava razumjeti i poziciju onih koji su ga optuživali i osuđivali. Stoga ova knjiga objedinjuje i strast mladića i mudrost zrelog čovjeka koji je iskusio slom mnogih iluzija. Knjiga Do posljednjeg daha odlikuje se vrhunskim umijećem pripovijedanja i zasigurno spada među ponajbolje hrvatske autobiografije.
