Knjiga Marko Marulić, pjesnik i didaktičar satkana je od četiri dijela. U prvom se izlaže život i kratki pregled opusa splitskog humanista; autor na čitak i razumljiv način sabire, sažima i prezentira sve dosadašnje spoznaje o Maruliću i njegovu djelu, tako da prvo poglavlje služi i kao uvod u cijelu knjigu. U drugom poglavlju prikazuje Marulićevu hrvatsku poeziju, njezinu recepciju i odjek u hrvatskom pjesništvu, ukratko istražuje razloge zbog kojih je hrvatska književna historiografija 19. st. prozvala Marulića „ocem hrvatske književnosti“. U trećem dijelu bavi se Marulićem kao moralnoteološkim didaktičarom te etičko-teološkim piscem, zbog čega je to poglavlje ujedno i središnje. U četvrtom poglavlju autor progovara o estetsko-etičkim te biblijsko-teološkim vidovima Marulićeva opusa. Ovaj rukopis je iznimno znanstveno djelo posvećeno Maruliću, pjesniku, teologu, estetu, etičaru i didaktičaru. Činjenica da se gotovo nitko od marulologa nije bavio Marulićem kao didaktičarom upućuje na izvornost djela, njegovu potrebnost te doprinos marulologiji, a time i hrvatskoj znanosti o književnosti.
